Seemic (Hangzhou) Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd. was officially founded on 16 June 2026 in Qiantang District, Hangzhou, with registered capital of RMB 2 million and its registration address on Hezhuang Street, Qiantang District.
The company was founded by an academician team from Wuhan University. Core members come from Wuhan University, Hainan University and leading semiconductor industry experts, with more than 20 years of industry experience. From the outset the company has focused on non-contact optical metrology for semiconductors, covering film metrology, optical critical dimension metrology and micro-void metrology, with specifications matching international leading levels and support for advanced 3D NAND, advanced logic and advanced packaging processes.
Why non-contact optical metrology
Yield control is the core of semiconductor manufacturing. Metrology must deliver true structural dimensions and optical properties without damaging the sample or introducing contact contamination, so that process windows can converge quickly. The non-contact optical route was chosen precisely to balance accuracy, throughput and compatibility with the production line.
The company has completed a RMB 20 million first funding round and is currently at the critical stage of first-prototype development.
